What do you think, how fast is flickr?
does it beat any news?
is it the fastest update of a current event on the internet?
if something huge happened (9/11 huge) how long would it take for pics to be on flickr?

They had the tsunami coverage online before anyone, and the inauguration of Bush that no media covered.
My answer is Flickr and a YouTube type service will be the tomorrow of news service, with a front end much like a Technorati
yea, it was weird - i went to this building that was on fire cause i saw the smoke and im standing there taking pics on my phone and i wonder, how many people with cameras are putting the pics on the internet, i could be moblogging on flickr or something and there are no news crews anywhere for this decent sized fire.
even cooler is that i found a picture of the smoke from the other side of town on flickr.
