One Too Many.

I think i just hit my limit for im clients and/or services, with the new googletalk and such i am now up 2 to 6 services run through those 6 clients and 2 clients that cover multiple services.

I now have:
MSN messenger
AOL instant messenger
Yahoo! messenger
GoogleTalk
Skype
Gizmo Project

and am also using iChat and Adium to control a bunch of them. i think i have hit the max, i dont really want more, but if one comes out i will probably get it.

i think we need a standard - something with great text messaging and sweet voice capabilities, adium is the closest i have to covering it, it just leaves out skype and gizmo, but to be able to get along with 2 cients wouldnt be too bad i guess.

Google could start buying some of those smaller ones. Like AIM and Skype. ;)

that would be a sweet idea, i dont know what it would cost to get skype but aim might require them to buy aol, so i think thats out of the question. but skype, icq, gizmo, and a couple other smaller ones seems like a good idea, but i assume they have plans to do something sweet with google talk.

Hmm...I might sound like a copy cat, but I'll do what edhunor10813997 did! I just noticed you had a blog (off of your Flickr profile) and it looks cool. You should check out mine too! :)

There's a client called Trillian that combines a bunch of these IM clients so you can use 'em at once. I believe it includes Yahoo Messenger, AIM, MSN, ICQ and something else.

Don't know if it's interesting to you but I just happened to read your post and thought i'd share that with you...
