I got a powerbook - the switch hasnt been too hard, the first problem i have come across is that their is not yet a mac client for googletalk, otherwise it is incredible. more to come later.

you can use iChat for googletalk. in fact, you can use any chat client that accesses the jabber protocol (i use GAIM) to build your googletalk contacts.
